🗑️ Remove Unwanted Pages from PDFs — Fast, Secure, and Private
Need to delete blank pages, confidential sections, or duplicates from a PDF? Our Delete Pages tool makes it simple. Select the pages you want to remove, and we'll create a clean PDF—all without uploading your file anywhere.
⚙️ How It Works
The Delete Pages tool examines your PDF, identifies all pages, and lets
you specify which ones to remove using simple notation like
2,5-7. Everything happens
locally in your browser—no file uploads🫡, no server
processing🙌. The result is a new PDF containing only the pages you want
to keep.
Imagine a PDF file just like a pile of pages one on top of the other. This tool makes it simple to select the pages you do not need anymore. It removes them and then puts the remaining ones back into a new stack. All the original setup on those kept pages remains exactly as it was. That includes things like the layout, any pictures, and all the clickable links too. The first PDF file itself does not get changed in any way. Instead, a completely new file gets made with just your selected adjustments included.
📌 Why Use This Tool😗
- ✅ Remove blank pages - Clean up scanned documents with empty pages
- ✅ Delete confidential sections - Remove sensitive pages before sharing
- ✅ Fix duplicates - Eliminate accidentally repeated pages
- ✅ Trim documents - Keep only the pages you need
- ✅ Reduce file size - Smaller PDFs by removing unnecessary pages
🔒 Complete Privacy🫡
The PDF file stays put on your computer. Page deletion takes place right there in the browser, handled by JavaScript code. No part of the file ever gets sent over to a server. That setup makes a big difference for files with sensitive details like personal records, financial figures, or private company materials.
• 100% client-side processing - everything stays on your device
• No server uploads😉 - your document never goes online
• No data storage - nothing is saved or tracked
• Works offline ✌️- use it even without internet connection
💡 Page Selection Tips👍
Specifying pages for deletion turns out to be quite straightforward. You just need to grasp the notation involved. This covers all the details required to handle it correctly from the start:
-
Single Page: Just type
5to delete page 5. Easy. If you only want to remove one specific page, this is all you need. -
Multiple Individual Pages: Type
2,5,9to delete pages 2, 5, and 9 all at once. Separate each page number with a comma—no spaces needed (though they won't hurt if you add them). -
Page Range: Type
3-7to delete pages 3 through 7 in one go. This is way faster than typing3,4,5,6,7. Ranges work great for clearing out big chunks of unwanted content. -
Mixed Notation: You can combine individual pages
and ranges in the same entry. For example,
1,3-5,8,12-15will delete page 1, pages 3 through 5, page 8, and pages 12 through 15. Super flexible. - Always Review First🫡: Don't rush into deleting anything just yet. Take a moment to check the file's properties first so you can see the overall number of pages it has. Then go ahead and load the PDF into a reader program. Make a note of exactly which pages need to be removed. Keep in mind that numbering begins at one. It does not start from zero. That means the very first page counts as page one. The next one becomes page two. This pattern keeps going through the document.
-
Double-Check Your Syntax: If you accidentally type
5-3instead of3-5, That approach just will not function properly. Page ranges need to start with the smaller number and move up to the larger one. On top of that, when someone enters a page number that is not actually there, such as page 50 in a document that only has 20 pages, the tool simply skips past it. Even so, it makes more sense to handle things correctly from the start.
🔍 Common Deletion Scenarios😉
Not sure exactly which pages to remove? Here are some typical situations and how to handle them:
Blank Pages from Scanning: Your scanned document might
end up with random blank pages scattered all over the place. This sort
of thing happens pretty often when you do duplex scanning. Just open up
the PDF file you have. Take a look and note down exactly which pages come
out blank. Go ahead and delete them one by one after that. 4,7,11.
This cleans up the document without messing with the good pages.
Confidential Sections: Let's say you have a 30-page
report but pages 12-18 contain sensitive financial data you can't
share. Just type 12-18 and those pages vanish from the
output. Everyone else sees pages 1-11 and 19-30 only.
Removing Cover or Back Pages: Need to strip off just
the first and last pages? Use 1,30 (replace 30 with your
actual last page number). Or if you want to keep only the middle
content, delete everything else like 1-5,25-30.
Pro tip: If you're trying to extract pages instead of deleting them, our Split PDF tool might be a better fit. It lets you specify which pages to keep rather than which to remove, which can be easier when you're dealing with large documents.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which page numbers to delete?
After you upload the PDF file, the information displayed will include the total number of pages it contains. To identify the specific pages for removal, open the document in a suitable viewer and jot down the relevant numbers. Keep in mind that numbering begins with 1 on the very first page.
Can I delete multiple page ranges at once?🤔
Yes! Use commas to separate different selections. For example,
1,3-5,8-10 will delete page 1, pages 3 through 5, and
pages 8 through 10 all at once.
What happens to my original PDF?🤨
Your original file remains completely untouched. We create a new PDF with the specified pages removed. The original stays on your device exactly as it was.
Will formatting and images be preserved?🤔
Absolutely! The remaining pages keep all their original formatting, images, fonts, links, and layout. Only the specified pages are removed—everything else stays identical.
Is there a page limit?🤔
The tool works with PDFs of any size, but very large files (1000+ pages) may take longer to process. Browser memory is the only limitation. For most documents, processing is instant.
Can I undo the deletion?🤨
Since we create a new file and don't modify your original, you can always go back to your original PDF. If you deleted the wrong pages, simply upload the original again and try with different page numbers.
